A Berry Healthy Green Smoothie

Green Smoothies are becoming very popular as a mid morning snack or even a meal replacement for lunch. They are extremely nutritious and very delicious. Take this recipe for a spin in your blender.

Ingredients

  • 1 frozen banana (previously peeled and frozen)
  • ½  tablespoon flax seed OR hemp seed (ground)
  • ½ cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 cup apple juice or distilled water (or combination of both)
  • Handful of spinach OR collard OR kale leaves

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients in a Vita Mix or other high speed blender and process until creamy.
  2. If a thinner smoothie is desired, add a little more water. Enjoy
