A Berry Healthy Green Smoothie
Green Smoothies are becoming very popular as a mid morning snack or even a meal replacement for lunch. They are extremely nutritious and very delicious. Take this recipe for a spin in your blender.
Ingredients
- 1 frozen banana (previously peeled and frozen)
- ½ tablespoon flax seed OR hemp seed (ground)
- ½ cup frozen blueberries
- 1 cup apple juice or distilled water (or combination of both)
- Handful of spinach OR collard OR kale leaves
Directions
- Place all ingredients in a Vita Mix or other high speed blender and process until creamy.
- If a thinner smoothie is desired, add a little more water. Enjoy
