Admissions: Each student is admitted into a Certificate Program based on the prospect that he or she can successfully complete the program, not on past academic achievement.
Tuition. Payment for each Certificate Program must be made in U.S. dollars only. Personal checks, money orders, and major credit cards are accepted. There is no application or graduation fee. Tuition includes all textbooks, exams, videos, shipping costs (to U.S. addresses only, see Item 3 for more information), and an embossed certificate.
Shipping. For each Certificate Program, all materials for the five courses will be sent immediately upon receipt of the application and tuition payment. Hallelujah Acres® will pay the postage to send materials to students in the U.S. Students in foreign countries will incur postage charges. All students are responsible for the postage necessary to return each completed course; completed coursework may be transmitted via e-mail.
Materials. All course materials are supplied by Hallelujah Acres® and are for the student to keep.
Discounts: Because of the already low tuition, no discounts will be granted for books already owned by students. However, we do grant a discount for married couples: If both spouses wish to earn a certificate, we will send one set of textbooks and two sets of exams for the cost of $495.
Refunds. If requested in writing, a pro-rated refund may be granted for all remaining courses not completed by the student, less the cost of materials already sent. No refunds will be granted after three months from the time of enrollment.
Coursework and Assignments. Coursework consists of researching the course textbook(s) to answer questions in the open-book exams. The pass/fail exams are designed to focus attention on the important issues in the text. Assignments must be typed; single-spaced typing is allowed, unless otherwise indicated. All work should be completed and submitted on an individual (course-by-course) basis. A minimum grade of 80% is considered passing.
Time Limit. Students should be able to complete each textbook in approximately three to four weeks, based on six to eight hours of study each week. There is no time limit for completion of the entire Certificate program.
