The USDA, National Institutes of Health, American Heart Association, the National Cancer Institute, and other health-related organizations all recommend eating more fruits and vegetables for better health.
While these recommendations are helpful, they are not sufficient to have the medical community embrace a diet like The Hallelujah Diet® as a way to effectively handle various disease states, as well as be a preventive measure. Medical doctors and their brethren demand numbers and hard data in order to even acknowledge that this simple diet can be a better way for people to get better, versus the chemicals (prescription drugs), poisons (chemotherapy), burning (radiation), and cutting (surgery) they promote as life savers.
Therefore, we established the Hallelujah Acres® Foundation to document the health benefits of a basically raw vegetarian-foods diet. The Foundation’s focus is to use dietary interventions on specific disease states, specifically using The Hallelujah Diet®, as well as to conduct long-term health monitoring of individuals who practice the Hallelujah Diet & LifestyleSM.
The dietary interventions will show the medical community different, more natural ways to deal with sickness: substituting drugs with a diet that nourishes and cleanses the body, and using fresh air and sunshine rather than hospital rooms. Long-term monitoring of Hallelujah vegetarians will help overcome one of the greatest weaknesses of the raw food movement – documentation – thereby helping to establish the truly beneficial elements of this lifestyle for health maintenance.
Dr. Michael Donaldson, Ph.D. is Director of Research for the Foundation, and conducts the various studies and research-related projects on raw, living food diets. You can find the results of his completed studies in the Research section of this site. To learn more about Dr. Donaldson, please click here.
The Hallelujah Acres® Foundation is one of the few ministries doing research on raw, living food diets, and has completed several research projects that provide solid factual evidence about the benefits of this diet and lifestyle. They include:
Other studies that are in planning or proposed include:
Antioxidant / DNA damage
BarleyMax® vs. Placebo
Diabetes
“Know Your Number” (to predict risk of coronary heart disease, stroke or Type II diabetes)
Long-term prospective cohort (to track Hallelujah vegetarians to examine diet and health outcomes)
Osteoporosis / bone resorption
As funding permits, we will spearhead additional projects and coordinate research with other groups.
You can help the Hallelujah Acres® Foundation to conduct these studies. By making a tax-deductible donation to the Foundation, you are contributing to our ability to scientifically documentat the effects of the Hallelujah Diet & LifestyleSM on illness and disease, as well as to disseminate the research findings to the medical and scientific communities and health conscious individuals. We appreciate your support.
“During my wife Angela's third pregnancy, the nausea was not going away. Angela, ready to try anything since the medical doctors couldn’t help, tried just eating fruit in the morning without any other changes. Three days later the nausea was gone! Thus began our search into real nutrition. I had known that a balanced diet was important for health, but I was ignorant of the powerful relationship between diet and the prevention, and even elimination, of sickness…
I get excited when I think of the potential impact of this research. This research will answer some of the doubts people have, and will allow us to make inroads into the medical and scientific community. I believe the Lord Jesus Christ is in this work, and I love it. I feel like a gold miner who has discovered the Mother Lode. Hallelujah!”
