Get Healthy! Resource Center 2nd Year Anniversary Extravaganza

Hallelujah Acres’ Get Healthy! Resource Center located at 834 South Post Road, Shelby, NC is celebrating its Second Anniversary January 11, 12, and13, 2007.

The three-day anniversary extravaganza will get a jump-start on Thursday, January 11th with welcoming and opening remarks by Gerene Butterfield, Get Healthy! Resource Center Manager, followed by Isaac Surratte’s personal testimony of his success battling high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and diabetes. Paul Malkmus, president of Hallelujah Acres, will officiate at a cake cutting ceremony at 12 noon, and share the future vision for Hallelujah Acres starting at 1:00 p.m. At 1:30 p.m., Matt Bulman will speak about the impact of the Hallelujah Lifestyle and the rising cost of health care. Continuing at 2:00 p.m., Barry Atkins will give his personal testimony about high blood pressure, diabetes, sleep apnea, weight loss, fluid retention and other health issues he has had. Lynnae Hensley will give her testimony at 2:15 p.m. followed by additional testimonies and a brief introduction to the programs offered at the Get Healthy! Resource Center. The festivities will continue throughout the afternoon with door prizes, testimonials, and a book give away; You Don’t Have To Be SickSM by Rev. George Malkmus.

Friday events will begin at 10:00 a.m. and continue till 7:00 p.m. The day starts with VoiceBio©™ testing, a non-invasive, cutting-edge diagnostic tool, that analyzes an individual’s speaking voice, offering a look at holistic energy patterns within the human body, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., as well as, Free foot baths that will be given from 10:00 am to 2:00 p.m. The footbath equipment is a revolutionary hydrotherapy device that combines the life-giving properties of water with a bioelectric charge, which enhances and amplifies the body’s ability to heal itself. At 10:30 a.m., Atlanta Raw Food Chefs, Jackie and Gideon Graff, will introduce everyone to the Hallelujah Acres Culinary Academy and demonstrate how to prepare mouthwatering meals and snacks. A lunch break will follow from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. (Lunch is always served at the Hallelujah Acres Café from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.) Programs continue at 2:00 p.m. when Deborah Martin, creator of the In The Garden non-dairy Ranch Dressing mix, takes to the kitchen. She will prepare mouthwatering dressings, dips and spreads that everyone will love. The Graffs are back at 2:30 p.m. with a food prep demo and FREE tasting of their gourmet delights. The Get Healthy! Now program will be presented at 4:30 p.m. This health information program is designed give you the statistical information about the major diseases that are affecting our country today and show you how three real people overcame their health problems and changed their lives. The day’s events end with more food demos and free food tasting by the Graffs from 5:00 p.m. till 6:30 p.m. Hallelujah Acres® will be awarding free lunch tickets to Hallelujah Acres Café and book giveaways throughout the day.

The celebration concludes on Friday, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., starting with raw food expert, one-of-a-kind dynamic speaker and humorist, Tonya Zavasta author of Your Right to Be Beautiful, and 100 Days to be 100% Raw. Tonya was named a finalist for 2004 Health Book of the Year Award. (Our seating is limited, so we require you to register in advance of this class and pay a $10 deposit. Upon arrival, you will receive a $15 gift certificate redeemable at the resource center.) Jackie and Gideon Graff take over the kitchen one last time from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. The celebration wrap up and drawing for the $500 gift certificate redeemable at the Get Healthy! Resource Center is from 2:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The winner does not need to be present to win.
