The scent of smoke clouded the air Saturday night as the dark sky was lit up with flashing red lights from fire trucks and emergency vehi-cles at Hallelujah Acres.
The fire at 900 South Post Road was under control shortly after it was reported around 9 p.m.
"I think we may have more smoke damage," said Cleveland Volunteer Fire Department Assistant Chief Chip Davis. "Don't know much right now."
Paul Malkmus, president of Hallelujah Acres, said they had hosted an event earlier that evening with close to 300 people.
"We had people through here all day," he said. "Someone came back here to get some things and saw the smoke and called the fire department."
Malkmus said he didn't see the fire, but did see a lot of smoke. The fire reportedly started in the office.
Cleveland, Volunteer Number Three, Oak Grove and Shelby City Fire departments all responded to the fire.
